Better Gas Mileage

The rising price of gasoline is reducing our buying power and there is little we can do about that. But what we can do is, get more miles out of the gas we buy. Getting better gas mileage & gasoline conservation is our only way out of this dilemma! I have started this Blog to inform people about what they can do to conserve gasoline and the current issues in the petroleum industry that may affect the price of gasoline. Purchase was made based only on Excellent Gas Mileage.
Per the car sticker the car was rated to have 34 Pontiac Vibe, Purchased brand New July 2005.
Miles on the Highway. 29 Miles in the City. Also the sales person said mileage would be within a couple miles.

Since the beginning, the car was not getting good mileage performance in City or the Highway. After ongoing mileage checks and double checking with Sullivan making sure testing is done correctly, the results continue to be only 22 miles in the city and 26 miles on the highway. Car has been taken to Pontiac at least 5 times for poor mileage and difficult starting. The last visit seems to have corrected poor starting by replacing the main car computer but the poor mileage continues. We are tired of this and see no specific solution by GMAC to resolve the poor gas mileage. We feel the mileage stickers are a fraud and are deceiving.
At this point we want a new Vibe which performs within 3 miles of sticker advertisement or our money back.
We cannot spend any more time away from our regular jobs and possibly be terminated due to time being spent trying to make the Vibe perform per advertisement, the sales person assurance and our need, that the car will perform within a couple miles of the sticker advertisement.
Your help with this is greatly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    John and Elizabeth
